This house I designed and built for myself and my wife. I built it in my spare time over more years than I care to talk about. It was fun to build and put all the details in. I have a tin ceiling in the kitchen and my office. There is a bead board ceiling in the entry. The living room /dinning room have a beamed ceiling. And there is a natural pine tongue and grove ceiling in the attic I custom made all the trim. I built the fireplace mantel and bookcase. I made the raised panel legs on the mantel and post on the stairway. I put bead board wainscoting in the powder room. The wainscoting in the entry and up the stairs has antique motorcycles set in the panels. The motorcycles were cut out of oak for me by K&M Scrollworks. There are three different kinds of motorcycles. I built the recessed cabinets and cabinet doors in the bathrooms. I built the desk and book case in my office. There are built-in book cases on each side of the bed in our room that I made. There are hard wood floors in the living room, dinning room, balcony, stairs and attic. All the bathrooms and entry have tile. The bathrooms have old fashioned looking mosaic tile. The bed rooms have floral pattern carpet. The powder room has murals painted on all the walls and a recessed ceiling with embossed wall paper painted and antiqued to look like tin. Then I put crown molding around it. The outside of the front door I made an arch in the top of the opening. Most of the light fixtures are antique lights that have been restored. I restored a claw foot tub for the master bathroom.
